| This review deals with chemicals for preventing mass development of Microcystis in freshwater ponds and lakes, including industrial synthetic inorganic and organic compounds and natural materials extracted from plants, and their effectiveness of inhibiting Microcystis growth in laboratory. The paper also points out the problems existed in Microcystis control and the research prospects in the field. |
